I had to make this printable available to others, because it has been a game changer in our math lessons; my daughte looks forward to lessons and says it doesn't feel like she's doing a lesson.
We've used the Math Garden to work fine motor skills with posting, one to one correspondence and hand-eye coordination. The page has 2 gardens and each garden is a 20 Frame, with each row having 5 slots for posting and pulling carrots (similar to a 5 frame and great for counting by 5s, etc).
This bundle has been so helpful to us for addition, subtraction, equalities, multiplication and division and can be used for fractions as well.
Some ideas or suggestions for use:
Use this math garden as a 5, 10, 20, 40 and 80 frame.
Use just 1 side of the garden for counting, addition or subtraction or use both sides to compare quantities and or equivalent systems.
Can also be paired with sensory play, hiding the carrots in dried peas or lentils and having your child count & post them to the garden.
I have not laminated our set, because we like the texture of paper, but you can print, laminate and then cut so that you can use dry erase marker on your cards or pieces.
I recommend printing on 60-80 lb cardstock paper so that your print outs are durable for repeated use. We've had our print-out bundle since 2021, and it's still going strong.
